KPMG Graduate Programme

KPMG’s graduate programme will take you from being a talented and focused graduate to becoming a top-flight professional with real skills and experience.

In this section we’ve set out all that we offer, what you’ll be doing, what you’ll learn and how to take the next step in your career.

Across our Audit & Assurance, Tax Consulting, Deal Advisory & Consulting practices, students join a 3.5 year programme (3 years on a sponsored masters) and take their ACA exams to qualify as a Chartered Accountant. Our Management Consulting graduates are not required to sit these exams.

Audit and Assurance

What you’ll be doing

  • Understanding how businesses work and helping your clients land major deals
  • Learning to spot and uncover the risks when you audit clients
  • Exploring the world, working on global projects with mega players in the market
  • Sharpening your IT skills with cutting-edge technology to offer top-class insight to clients

Tax Consulting

What you’ll be doing

  • Tailoring your advice to firms across diverse sectors – aircraft leasing, real estate, financial services, healthcare, technology, renewable energy and many more
  • Brushing up your knowledge of tax legislation in Ireland and abroad
  • Keeping clients in check and ensuring they’re ticking the right boxes on tax compliance.
  • Advising on mergers, acquisitions and takeovers
  • Qualify as a Chartered Accountant and tax professional with the Irish Tax Institute

Deal Advisory

What you’ll be doing

  • Giving start-up firms advice on the right direction with mega transactions coming down the line
  • Linking up with entrepreneurs and household names advising on a range of mergers, acquisitions and equity fundraising
  • Crunching the numbers on deals when financing new businesses, raising/renegotiating new debt and equity funding
  • Leading the crowd as you advise on business purchases, disposals and management buy-outs

What you’ll be doing

  • Developing your understanding of how clients buy, sell and fund their businesses
  • Pushing major deals over the line, from bidding to implementation
  • Mastering the issues that affect transactions value and delivering mega deals
  • Rotating in our Audit practice to get up to speed with accounting principles

What you’ll be doing

  • Helping companies in financial difficulty put their best foot forward
  • Cracking the code and devising turnaround tactics to challenging business concerns
  • Staying on top of company legislation when testing and executing a variety of business strategies for client’s commercial needs

Consulting

What you’ll be doing

  • Advising clients on industry best practice, while handling operational and financial risks they face
  • Analysing critical cases around Corporate Governance, Regulatory Advisory, Cyber Security and IT Risk Management
  • Monitoring and advising on changing regulatory issues in an evolving marketplace
  • Giving firms the heads-up on potential pitfalls they may face in the market

What you’ll be doing
